Astral People are stoked to announce that world-beating Brooklyn duo TEENGIRL FANTASY are bringing their unique take on jacking electronic jams to Sydney for first time. Fresh off the release of their critically lauded sophomore album Tracer, Teengirl have dominated dancefloors from Berlin to Detroit with their joyous yet refined interpretations of house and techno. Their ability to mix a gritty aesthetic with the preppy naiveties of great pop has earned them slots supporting giants such as Crystal Castles and Animal Collective and collaborations with Panda Bear and Daft Punk vocalist Romanthony. Barely out of high school, the duo blew up internationally with their debut 7AM, which included total anthems ‘Cheaters’ and ‘Dancing In Slow Motion’. The template was set for their current explorations into their favourite corners of dance music history.

Teengirl Fantasy’s live set up employs an army of synths, drum machines and samplers, resulting in a totally live affair that embraces improvisation and crowd interaction.
