Astral People & Handsome Tours proudly present the Flowdan Australia and New Zealand Tour.

A singular voice in UK dance music, Flowdan makes his long overdue debut to Australia this summer. An artist who continues to evolve over and over, Flowdan’s twenty-year career spans grime, dancehall, dub, garage, drum and bass, and seems to find itself at each genre’s pivotal moments. His unmistakable and ubiquitous voice is known across dancefloors globally: the East London MC and producer is unlikely to slow down anytime soon.

Flowdan’s career runs the entire timeline of grime, coming to prominence with garage collective Pay As You Go, and a founding member of grime pioneers Roll Deep. Fifteen years of work with dub and dancehall producer The Bug marks some of his most iconic music, the duo still performing together to this day. After collaborations with Wiley, Killa P, and Giggs, as well as releases on Hyperdub, Ninja Tune, and Tru Thoughts, it’s hard to find a niche Flowdan hasn’t occupied. Now, he finds himself in front of a new epoch of dance music, his collaboration with Skrillex and Fred again.. ‘Rumble’ a massive hit that shook the dance world from its first appearance during Fred again..’s 2022 Boiler Room. Flowdan’s paradoxical status as a legacy artist and contemporary heavyweight indemnify what makes him so indispensable.

Flowdan now flexes his production chops with his own imprint Spentshell, releasing a new wave of grime and dancehall from artists such as YGG and THSTLY XXVII. It’s clear Flowdan continues to find space in the global dance music scene, his creative process proving time and time again to be one of substance and permanence. Literally marching to the beat of his own drum, don’t miss an opportunity to see the iconic MC in the flesh this December.
