Acclaimed US hip hop duo, EARTHGANG, today expand their Australian and New Zealand visit this Summer with two epic headline shows.
On Thursday, December 7, EARTHGANG will be touching down in Auckland, New Zealand to play at the Auckland Powerstation, before they head west to Perth's The Rechabite on Sunday, December 17.
On top of their headline shows, they will appear as special guests along the inimitable Genesis Owusu's STRUGGLER album tour, presented by OURNESS, Astral People and Handsome Tours, with support from triple j. On December 1, Owusu and EARTHGANG will first head to Melbourne’s Festival Hall on December 8. The following night, they will perform at the UC Refectory in Canberra, followed by a final set of performances at the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on December 14, Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on December 15, and the closing performance December 16 at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall. Together, the shows are set to be an unmissable, high-energy end to what's been an already incredible year for both artists.
Embodying the sound of Atlanta in all its riotous and metamorphosing glory, EARTHGANG have been taking the world by storm over the past 12 months. Comprised of Olu and WowGr8, the GRAMMY nominated, Platinum-selling duo debuted on the scene with a string of EPs, quickly garnering a reputation for their eclectic style and infectious live energy. Since then, the duo have teamed up with the likes of J. Cole, Gorillaz, TokiMonsta and Louis The Child, cementing their broadness and establishing themselves as prominent members on the hip hop scene. Revered live performers, as seen in their recent electrifying show at Coachella, EARTHGANG marry lean, sharp-eyed lyricism with Southern-fried soul, with every song hitting hard and traversing the fine line of landing jokes and delving deep into political issues. This string of tour dates comes off the back of their sophomore album, Ghetto Gods, which was released last year. The work received stellar reviews from the likes of Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, and solidified the Atlanta natives' trajectory to become one of hip hop's most impactful and versatile duos.
Catch EARTHGANG's exhilarating energy on stages this December, as they storm stages across Australia and New Zealand.
