After a 3 year hiatus, dance pop innovator Basenji returns with two brand new collaborations. Teaming up with Eves Karydas for the bright & catchy ‘La La La’, Basenji describes working with Eves as 'effortless'. He says: "It was instant synergy, and we were able to get this one down in only one session. I told Eves we needed an ‘ohrwurm’ for the chorus and when she delivered the 'la la la’s' it just felt perfect!”. Eves echoed Basenji's sentiment, saying: “Working with Basenji on "La La La" has been such a fun and engaging experience. He's so talented. Our combined creative energies came together in a really effortless way and we wrote this song very quickly on the first day we met (that doesn't happen often!). I’m excited that it's being released at this moment in time too - I think we're all ready for a feel-good summer.”

Joining forces with Ric Rufio for track two, summer anthem 'Walk Away', Basenji shared "Working with Ric Rufio on Walk Away was a memorable experience. We discussed a dreamy, hypnotic kind of feel that we wanted the track to take directionally, for which he captured perfectly”.
