Astral People are on the lookout for an Artist Manager to join our growing team based in Sydney/Eora, Australia.

This role focuses on day-to-day management for selected artists on Astral People’s management roster, including prominent names such as Cosmo’s Midnight, Winston Surfshirt, Memphis LK, KUČKA, Sam Alfred, and award-winning mix engineers like George Nicholas and Doug Wright. The position offers significant opportunities for both professional development and personal growth within the company. Essential qualifications include prior experience in the music or entertainment industry and a genuine passion for the dynamics of the global music scene.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 2+ years of experience as an artist manager or day-to-day artist manager
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A passion for and deep understanding of the global music industry
  • Strong time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to use discretion
  • An established global network within the music industry
  • A diverse taste in music (not just electronic/dance!) – you’ll be working across a range of genres

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage artist-specific global release strategies for your roster
  • Manage overall brand and social media strategy and development alongside the Artist Management Coordinator
  • Manage PR strategy with the Artist Management Coordinator for all events and releases, liaising with all relevant parties and Astral staff
  • Develop and manage global touring strategies alongside agents and the Astral team for your roster
  • Work with the Operations Manager to set up timelines and deadlines for booking logistics, tour books, invoice follow-ups, worksheets, and show settlements/P&Ls
  • Manage extended global teams for recording and touring rollouts, ensuring all stakeholders operate efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Manage, negotiate, and execute deals end-to-end across multiple mediums, including (but not limited to) recordings, branding, touring, publishing, and merchandise
  • Register relevant local artist songs with APRA, PPCA, and publishing
  • Undertake A&R, scouting for new international and local emerging talent
