Astral People and Handsome Tours present the triumphant return of THE STREETS (UK).

In celebration of their sixth studio album, The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light - The Streets hit Australian shores March 2024 with trademark wit, tomfoolery and unbridled dance joy. The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light has all the markers of a classic Streets album, an experience akin to stumbling through different rooms of the club.

A poetic offering, inextricably linked to the dancefloor with waves of bass, garage and house laced in. Mike Skinner, as always, is the keen eye tying his disparate world together, shining with his customary lyrical wizardry and eclectic production. Arriving with his directorial debut in a feature film of the same name, written, directed, shot, edited, scored, and funded by Skinner - he even created his own special effects.

Taking what was a finished album and breathing an entire film into it, The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light film is a tripped-out noir murder mystery based in London’s clubland. For one of the UK’s most legendary and consistent voices of the 21st  century, a new creative level has been reached, on his own terms.Witness the musical project of Mike Skinner as he brings his acclaimed discography to life from cult projects in Original Pirate Material and A Grand Don’t Come For Free to his latest ode to club culture in The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light.

2024 will be his first time in the country since 2019 which marked a triumphant celebration of The Street’s regeneration. Be sure not to miss The Streets in Australia in March 2024. Promising to deliver Skinner’s captivating live show experience: existential dread and social commentary side-by-side with cheek and tomfoolery, and under the right conditions mosh participation.
