Shigeto is the creative moniker of Japanese/American producer and multi-instrumentalist Zach Saginaw, forging a unique style from NYC to the streets of Detroit. Releasing primarily under well-respected label Ghostly International, his compositions are an elegant cross section of industrial beats tinged with the complexities of jazz and (naturally) hip-hop, best personified in his emotional 2012 mini-LP ‘Lineage’.

Performing at the inaugural OutsideIn festival last year, Shigeto’s unique live show – a combination of live drumming and electronic experiments – was easily the live highlight of the day (forcing Radiohead’s Thom Yorke to pull him off stage to congratulate). With a new LP ‘No Better Time Than Now’ set for release in the very near future, we look forward to re-experiencing one of the most immersive live shows out of the US right now.
