Following a whirlwind debut tour that left Australia in a heaving mess, Astral People are proud to welcome back London’s original bad-boys NIGHT SLUGS (L-Vis 1990 & Bok Bok) to melt sound systems once more in 2014.

With one of the most prolific label-outputs of recent memory, the Night Slugs imprint continue to push boundaries and cultivate new sounds. With an ever-shifting aesthetic compass, 2013 saw LP’s from long-time collaborators Jam City and Egytprixx with fresh faces like Morri$, Helix, and Hysterics joining the crew for some brutal entries in their Club Construction series.

In between label running and a regular Rinse FM show, Bok Bok spent the past year collaborating with the likes of Tom Trago and Parris Mitchell whilst producing several tracks on Kelela’s debut mixtape ‘Cut 4 Me’ – regarded as one of the best releases of 2013 (on sister-label Fade to Mind). Having just moved to New York, L-Vis 1990 (aka James Connelly) has kept busy scoring runway shows for (fashion house) Opening Ceremony, an opera for Miami’s Art Basel, a solo EP ‘Dance System’ on Clone Jack For Daze, an A/V collaboration with Sinjin Hawke and a white label release with NS.

Those who witnessed the last club shows from this formidable pair saw some 3-5 hour sets spanning underground sounds from London, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Memphis and too many more. Described by Boiler Room as “In a league of their own” it’s a damn-near riot when the Slugs are in town, so expect airhorns, spinbacks and a multi-layered showcase from one of the best DJ-pairings alive today.
