GL Announce Album Launch Live Show

Today, Astral People and Collective Artists are thrilled to present GL’s live album launch this April 9th.

September of last year saw the release of GL’s highly anticipated sophomore album ‘You Read My Mind’ to resounding acclaim.

The release unfortunately came in the thick of Victoria’s strict lockdown, which put all in-person celebrations on the back burner and meant the launch was confined to online festivities.

The band have since been patiently biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment to be able to give their album the live performance it so calls for – and that time is finally here!

Tickets here.
Coming to you from Melbourne’s iconic Howler, GL will be treating an intimate audience to the first live performances of tracks off their latest album ‘You Read My Mind’.

GL’s
live shows have always been when the band truly comes to life. Ella’s soaring vocals weave in and out of undulating synths and punchy drums, ever enticing the audience into the folds of their music.

GL say on the album: "The record speaks more broadly about life and its frustrations while also synthesising these experiences into something positive. Our music has always been a positive release for us, working through whatever is going on in the head and making sense of the world. There is an escapism in being able to make music and art and we feel extremely lucky to have that outlet. This record is music you can move to, dance to, it simmers and purrs. More than ever we wanted to create a lot of it on the spot, so it was very fun and spontaneous. The majority was conceived and recorded specifically for this album over several sessions at Swimming Pool Studio in Fitzroy"

To kick off the night, GL will be joined by Rara Zulu and Emelyne.
These shows have been some time in the making and are set to be the perfect antidote for those long lockdown months, so make sure you secure your spot!
