Following his relocation from Naarm / Melbourne back home to Boorloo / Perth before the pandemic, ‘On The Move’ is the first taste of new solo music in two years from the fiery rapper. It's a bouncy, vivacious funk-flecked number that sees Arno further cement his distinguishable mix of free-flowing, quick-witted rhymes over bold basslines.

'On The Move' is a contagious listen, pulling funk, rap and pop into Arno's creative fold. While his feel-good focus and vibe-curated ambience is owed to his SoundCloud and party rap inspirations, his stylish, future-leaning production brings to mind the eclecticism of Mura Masa and the ecstatic, 'cloud nine' joy of Anderson .Paak with the sly, nimble bars of Genesis Owusu.

Speaking to the music video, director Brendan Cecich shares "Arno was really great to work with for the production of the ‘On The Move’ Music Video, and as soon as he played me the track I knew it was going to be stuck in my head for the months to come. Arno grew up loving comic books, and we took that concept and ran with it. The final concept ended up being ‘When I grow up, I want to be a…’  in which Arno fills the shoes of different careers that kids have when they’re growing up (pilot, lawyer, athlete, superhero, astronaut etc.). The editing and planning of the video undoubtedly took longer than the filming, but every minute spent on the project made it the blockbuster we hoped for."

A producer at heart, the release of ‘On The Move’ is part of a series of new music dedicated to actively seeking out joy. Inspired by both the persistent pursuit of music and life's moments of pause, Arno shares that ‘On The Move’ speaks to “finding a balance between being in a grind mindset while still enjoying all the little moments that make up the 'process'.”

Teasing his upcoming new material, he reveals that it touches on “channelling the energy within you and focusing it on wherever you need it in your life.”Arno Faraji has been a scene-stealer since becoming the first hip-hop artist to nab the triple j Unearthed High prize back in 2017.

More recently, his singles ‘Bass Jumpin’ and 'Just A Phase’ received high rotation across triple j and FBi  Radio, amassing over 4 million streams on Spotify respectively. In the past two years Faraji has been working on a new collection of work, whilst still releasing collab tracks with Just a Gent on ‘Who Would Have Thought’ and Two Another onJust A Phase’. While Arno has toured with the likes of Little Simz and Cosmo’s Midnight, it won’t be long till we see Arno Faraji return to the stage, with a fresh set of tricks up his sleeve.
