Astral People and Yes Please are proud to announce the return of forward ‐ thinking music festival OUTSIDEIN – guaranteed to expand minds once again this September.

The inaugural OutsideIn took place at a sold out Factory Theatre in Marrickville. Hosting an ensemble of international & local heroes, it was the standout event of Sydney’s evolving festival scene. FBi Radio agreed, awarding the event a coveted Sydney Music, Arts & Culture (SMAC) Award for Best Music Event of 2012. This year, OutsideIn will raise the bar once again, with a massive lineup, many who have which never toured Australia before and far greater than one would expect from such an intimate event.

OutsideIn is extremely proud to present the headlining premiere of UK bass‐Enigma ZOMBY and Indiana rapper FREDDIE GIBBS; both undoubtedly set to blow the roof off the main stage in 2013.

Defining a decade of electronic obscurity and with releases on Hyperdub and 4AD, ZOMBY is the leader of a generation capable of negotiating territory from jungle, dubstep, rave, garage, rap and more.

With his ‘official’ debut album ESGN on its way in July, FREDDIE GIBBS will be bringing his raw aesthetic to the factory floor. With 10 mixtapes and multiple EP’s under his belt and collaborations with the likes of Madlib, Juicy J, Young Jeezy, Curren$y and more, this is your opportunity to see one of Hip Hop’s newest innovators on the brink of superstardom.

The award winning Sydney duo, Hermitude, will be bringing their future beats and world class live show to this year’s festival stage. Weaving between keys, synths, beat pads and turntables their live show explores the old and new, and no doubt will be a crowd favourite.

Making its worldwide debut at OutsideIn, Astral People present, SINCE I LEFT YOU. A celebration of The Avalanches seminal and indelible eponymous album. Personally, given the blessing from The Avalanches themselves, the project is comprised of Astral People’s premier roster, who will re-‐ interpret one of Australia’s most celebrated, contemporary records.

Canadian jazz renegades BADBADNOTGOOD will be bringing with them their infamous ever changing set-‐list, which typically includes unconventional covers of; Kanye West, TNGHT, Joy Division, Waka Flocka Flame, Odd Future, James Blake and many more.

For those seeking a more esoteric dance floor experience, the infamous Factory Floor aka ‘Rave Cave’ will be making a return in 2013. Riding a wave of acclaim from his debut album Classical Curves, London innovator and Night Slugs label artist JAM CITY, who will no doubt be dropping his paranoid blend of corporate-‐techno. Moving along, affiliate of tastemaker labels Hessle Audio & Young Turks, OBJEKT will be battering down the subs with his infectious sounds of Berlin.

In addition, the OutsideIn musical showcase will also include none other than Michigan’s sensual techno-‐goddess, LAUREL HALO, who will captivate with her mysterious productions, infamously known to shift between thumping dance floor bombs and sparkling ambient gems. Continuing the innovative journey is the UK’s MARK PRITCHARD, who’s releasing a brand new EP titled “Ghosts” through WARP Records this July.

And last, but not least of the international acts is the London duo, Snakehips. They’re currently creating crazy hype back home for their silky smooth mid tempo productions. Drawing comparisons to Disclosure and Bondax, it looks like they’re on the road to big things. OutsideIn will mark their first Australian tour.

This incredible lineup of international talent is supported by Australia’s most exciting local artists: Sydney twins COSMO’S MIDNIGHT, Adelaide’s beat messiah OISIMA, the collaboration project between Melbourne royalty ANDRAS FOX & OSCAR KEY SUNG, the loveable RAINBOW CHAN, the one man hype machine Wave Racer, Melbourne’s party starters Willow Beats, electro songstress Elizabeth Rose, sensual slow jammers Movement and the genre smashing I’lls.

And spinning tunes to help you shake it between live acts and at the outdoor stage will be some of our favorite DJs from around the nation: Slow Blow, Lewi McKirdy, Levins, Frames, UNTZZ Twelve Inch, Mike Who, Bad Ezzy, Jimmy Sing, Ben Fester, Max Gosford, James McInnes, Felix Lloyd, Mary’s Basement, Clunk & Sleepyhead and Percy Miracles.

And that’s it for OutsideIn 2013 – we can’t wait to shake it with you on the dancefloor on this September!
