Astral People are proud to present an evening of nightclub luxury with LA’s finest purveyors of quality, 100% SILK.

Founded by Amanda Brown (LA Vampires/Not Not Fun Records) in 2011, the label has formed a valuable mystique in sound, introducing the likes of Ital, Fort Romeau, Maria Minerva and Jonas Reinhardt to the world. Their lush, inquisitive catalogue is unlike any other label right now, indicative of the immersion between mind and body (whilst never keeping the dancefloor at bay).

On the 17th May, Goodgod Small Club will play host to an exclusive label showcase featuring three of the labels visionaries– Magic Touch, Octo Octa and Bobby Browser all performing LIVE.

Octo Octa’s debut EP ‘Let Me See You’ was referred to by 100% Silk’s label head as “literally one of my favourite songs ever released on any of my record labels”. His brand of R&B sampling deep & emotional house has earned critical acclaim within dance and indie circles, all predicting imminent ascent.

Mixing the psychedelic ethos of San Francisco with the house movements of Chicago, the edge of Detroit and a nod to the UK underground, Magic Touch has been creating adventurous house and disco wonders since 2011. From his impressive 100% Silk debut ‘I Can Feel the Heat’, 2013 will see a release on Derrick May & Jimmy Edgar’s ‘We Love…Detroit’ compilation and a world tour including dates at Berlins Panorama Bar, Tokyo’s Dommune and Sonar Festival in Spain.

And as for Bobby Browser…tag under: Whitewine, Synthesizers, Pacific Sunshine, Analogue Sample Bliss, Almonds, Melody and dance inducing jams released on the likes of Icee-Hot (John Talabot/Moodymann/Jamie XX) and supported by only the most forward thinking of celebrity DJs.
